"When accountability threatens the powerful, projection becomes their shield."
Conceived and titled in collaboration with my son, “The Party of Projection” is a sonic confrontation against modern political theatre, the erosion of democratic truth, and the dangerous rise of authoritarian oversight in our daily lives and technological future.
This track was deeply inspired by the stark display of political evasion broadcast during last week's Senate Republican hearing of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Instead of a sober reflection on public health policy or systemic preparation, the committee room devolved into a textbook exercise in projection—a coordinated, aggressive effort by partisan leaders to deflect from their own historical policy failures during the COVID crisis by scapegoating a career public servant.
As a 40-year advocate for youth development and social justice, I see this tactic as a direct threat to the structures our youth depend on. When governance abandons factual accountability for performative distraction, our collective security is compromised.
