If You Are Not Working to Defend America, You Are Helping Trump Destroy It
This song will be too old for many to recognize, but in 1931, Florence Reece, whose husband was a Union Organizer for the United Mine Workers, wrote a song that was covered by folk legend Pete Seeger, called, “Which Side Are You On!” The sentiments of the song are timeless and—as this article points out—apply to the situation in the United States today. If you’re not defending America, you’re helping Trump destroy it. I know which side I want my children to say I was on. This administration is trying to destroy the U.S. democracy. Trump is their front man, but Project 2025 and Vladimir Putin are the brains behind this attack. Don’t let them distract you from their primary goal. It is time to take a stand. Resist the autocracy, let your voice be heard. In the words of Ms. Reece, “Don’t listen to their lies, poor folks ain’t got a chance, unless they organize.” (1931, Florence Reece).

Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre wrote a memoir. Months after her death, it's coming out
We cannot ethically let this go. It is possible that the president of the United States is a child predator who raped minors, and he is trying to hide the evidence. A victim of Epstein’s abusive pedophile ring, Virginia Giuffre, wrote her memoirs before taking her own life last year at the age of 41. Years of trying to bring her trauma and the abuse of many others to light failed, and she finally succumbed to despair. We can make sure that her death was not in vain by insuring her voice is heard posthumously through this book. Please find ways you can support this book, Ms. Giuffre, and the multiple other victims of Epstein/Ghislaine’s abuse and President 47’s coverup.

How ICE Became Trump’s Secret Army
Every authoritarian needs its own secret police force, and Trump has ICE. Make no mistake about it, this is HIS police force. He dictates where it goes, what laws it enforces, and who it arrests. Noem may appear to be in charge of it, but it’s all a modeling opportunity for her. She is nothing more than a Donny-Sycophant. No credentials for the position, no ability to lead. It is imperative to the agenda of Project 2025, Stephen Miller, and Trump, that they balloon this secret police agency and the concentration camps it oversees. A federal judge declared one of those despicable camps (Alligator Alcatraz) closed. Not only is the site dumping raw sewage into the wetlands around it, but it was built on a national heritage site, the Florida Everglades. Building was halted on the site before, when MAGA-cult lackey, Ron DeSantis, tried to turn it into a tourist airport for those wishing access to the Everglades. This waste of money could have been averted with a little research, but it’s unlike this administration to delve into environmental issues or care about the results when discovered. Beware ICE, it is the secret police force of this fascist government.

Trump Has No (Legal) Power to Mess With the Election
The “fine print” of this article is really important: Trump has no (legal) power to mess with the election. No “legal” power, but the Trump Administration—and their supporters—have never cared about legalities. They break the law and then wait for the courts to catch up. Expect that strategy to remain active this year and during the next presidential election. I encourage governors to mimic Karl Rove’s strategy of using the states to effect the election. In the first reelection campaign for her husband, President Obama’s wife, Michelle, said, “When they go low, we go high…” now she says, “going high didn’t work…” I agree with her completely. This is a death struggle for democracy, and Democrats need to meet the MAGA right head-on.

Six states to send troops to D.C. And, Texas lawmakers to vote on redistricting today
Sometimes there are so many stories of the U.S.’s slide into anarchy and authoritarianism that it’s difficult to keep up, but that was the intentional point (and plan) of Steve Bannon and Project 2025. They purposely wanted to overwhelm the public so people would A) become overwhelmed, and B) be too spread out to respond to the biggest issues. Today’s news feed is along that line. The president is especially trying to “flood the zone” to distract us from his number one enemy-of-the-moment; the Epstein Files. However, that’s not the primary concern of Project 2025; their major aim is to distract us from the One Big Beautiful (Ugly) Bill. We need to encourage each other to keep our eye on two balls: the next election and the release of the Epstein Files. Put your energy into resistance and resilience.
